Kids Shows Based on R-Rated Movies

Come to think of it, i wouldnt have been surprised to see an animated series based on the Griswolds (From the National Lampoon's Vacation series), especially considering how popular Christmas Vacation was with kids.
 
I recall there was a legend that the original He-Man series was supposed to be the cartoon version of Conan the Barbarian.
 
No, that was just a rumor someone started that somehow spread like wildfire. I'm not even sure how you begin to *kiddify* a premise about a monster that stalks people and rips off their body parts and skin for it's own personal use.
 
Speaking of which, there were TWO seperate Conan the Barbarian cartoons. Yeah, there was the original stories, but I dont think they'd have bothered if the movie wasnt such a big cult hit.
