I'm a senior in high school and I've been noticing some things I haven't really paid to much attention to before.
At football games, middle school girls tend to show up in mini skirts, low cut shirts with makeup and their hair down and its ridiculous.
My guy friends (all 17+) give them a look as they pass then one will jokingly say "Man, you better watch that jail bate"
*Lets refer to the jail bate girls (young in mini skirts and reveling clothing with sarcastic nasty attitudes, as the "jail-baters".
So then I started wondering about the "age of consent" and was is known as "statutory rape".
If a girl dresses like an adult, has a demeanor like an adult then why should a guy be blamed for persuading them?
The jail-baters tend to be the antagonists. They talk the talk and when comes time to 'walking-the-walk' they feel to embarrassed to back out so they end up doing things they aren't ready for......like sex. So when someone finds out they cry and cry and say "he made me, he tricked me" and lay all the blame on the guy.
I know that the older guy is at fault too. Yet, sending him to prison and registering them as a sex offender is a bit much.
This isn't pertaining to nasty forty year old predators that hound after little girls because of their own twisted reasons. No, I'm referring to the 18-20 year old getting into trouble because a 11-16 year old girl happened to either lie about her age, lead him on that she was older and began the "inappropriate" relationship with vulgar suggestions.
Of course this could be the other way around and it could be a young boy and an older girl.
And lets be honest. I've seen middle schoolers with more bust and tush than me.
