Kicker L7 15 was working when i got out of my car but not when i got back in?

I just got my system wired up in my new truck and it was working fine but once i got out and got back into my truck it wasnt workin. i didnt even turn my truck off. I had a rca converter put in so i could run my factory radio. he wired it to the speaker wire is this right? it sounds like a little bit of music is trying to come out but when i unhook my speaker now and hook it back up i hear nothing. mabe a little static or music trying to play. what could be the problem? everything is new. i have even unhooked the power wire thinking that would reset it and mabe it would start workin again.nope that didnt work what kind of trouble shooting can i do to see if the sub is blown too? thanks in advance
