I have a 10" kicker L5 with a Hifonics 1608D mono amp, hooked up to 1 ohm currently, I changed it from 4, to 2, to 1 and it still smells when the sub hits. I thought maybe changing them would help but it doesn't... I was thinking it is in a single cab truck in a tiny kicker truck box thats ported and not getting enough air? I dunno my buddy has the same set up his does it too.
I took the sub off and it is coming from it for sure within the middle... how or what do i do to prevent this? It is 900 watt rms max and I do have the gain 1/4 the way up.
