kicker cvr 12 help thanks?

I was wondering if i need a 4 ohm or 2 ohm sub if i only have one sub connected to one amp. Does it matter how i wire it?
 
Those are DVC subs. Get the dual 4-ohm version, and wire the coils in parallel, giving a 2-ohm load to the amp. That is if you get a mono block rated into 2-ohms. Get the 2ohm kicker cvr 12. It will be louder. Amps can product more RMS power at lower OHMS, which is a type of resistance to electrical flow.
