A friend of mine just upgraded her system in her truck and is willing to sell me her two Kicker Comp 12" subs and box for 100 bucks. I dont know much about subs at all, so i was wondering first off, are these subs worth it, or should i go better for my first set? I'd have to get them shipped to me too, so that would offset the cost as well.
I also know i need an amp too. How many watts would be good and what type of brand names and prices would I expect to be decent? Are there any other expenses i should anticipate too? Is installation something that can be done by my dad whos an electrical engineer?
Finally, I have a 2008 Rav4 and im constantly putting the back seats down to fit my hockey gear inside... Where would i fit subs and a box in there anyway? Since the spare tire is mounted outside theres a space under the back, but would that just be a shitty place to put it? I dont think they'll fit under the back seats. And could the subs be tied into the exsiting face plate or would that be yet another thing to buy?
