i wrote this on aliensoup already but this site seems to have more visitors and i figured i would share my experience with all

i got bit by a dog yesterday. he was a beast

it was a mastiff. i took tyson to the dog run and he wound up jumping on this mastiff. he was just playing but the mastiff was ill tempered and decided to attack tyson. the fighter that tyson is he went back at the dog. they were growling and it was a huge dog fight. anyway they werent stopping so after a bit i was watching and trying to find a good time to get in there and take tyson away. the stupid mastiff bit me. probably my fault for trying to get in the middle of it. however, i thought my hand was broken at first i guess it was in shock so it was shaking and i couldnt move it. i started crying because i am a big baby apparently. the owner of the mastiff finally got his dog away and what does he do but he lliterally runs to his car. no are you ok or is your hand alright. no concern whatsoever. what a douche :**(
 
holy cow, you're lucky he didn't take your hand off. mastiff's are huge dogs, but generally gentle unless protecting their home. the guy is an asshole for running off. i hope you reported him and his dog to the cops.

hope your hand feels better soon. hope tyson is ok.
 
Don't kick the dog, kick the owner for not taking responsibility for his/her pet in a public area.

And crying is a natural reaction in the aftermath of an adrenal rush, so don't feel like a wuss.

Hope you and your own pup are alright. Get the bite checked if it stays red or starts to swell. Animals (including humans) have some nasty germs.
 
i wouldnt have even done anything. im such an animal lover i thought if i would have persued a lawsuit of any sorts they would kill the dog. i just think the owner should have taken a bit of responsibility and asked if i was alright. a few years ago my mother shih tzu bit her boyfriends daughter after she was poking and proding the poor animal. her mother wound up suing and my mother had to either pay 75k ( i think thats the number) or put the dog to sleep. when she sold the house she paid the 75k. a few months later the dog died. sad sad story /me cries
