great news KS fans!
Clerks cartoon six-episode marathon will air Sunday, Dec. 22, beginning at 9 a.m. on Comedy Central, it will include the four episodes that never played on ABC.

yes, on Leno the other night they said the release date will be in October. That's a long time.

Anyone here get the An evening with KS DVD yet? is it good? is it true that you can't play it on a multi-region DVD player?

am I the only person who didn't like Clerks? I just wasn't that impressed...

But I do love all the other movies...
 
I was at this Kevin Smith Q&A event on Friday and OMG he was so fricken hilarious!!! Brilliant, brilliant and KIND man.

"Lay the podium down!"

Anyway JLO is only in the movie for the first 12 minutes, don't know if Kevin Smith was being accurate though.

He really defended his decision to have Jlo and Ben in the same movie. Because her performance was great, because it got a great performance out of Ben-(hee it was at the start of the relationship so Ben didn't want to keep jetting off the set, he was happy to go to work all day and ahem have fun with Jen in the trailor), and the amazing actress that plays Ben's daughter was first looked at b/c she looks like Jlo. And according to Smith this young girl is am amazing actress.

If you ever get a chance to hear this man speak do it. Because it's funny and there's all the dick and ass jokes but there's such depth still.
 
I think that Chasing Amy was definitely Kevin's best because it had a lot of heart. I know some people who don't like it either because they think the language is too raunchy or they don't like the lesbian angle, but this movie isn't really about that. Everyone can relate to it because of it's humanity and there's really a lot of beauty in that. To me it's not just about a guy who falls for lesbian, it's about two people just falling in love despite their adversities and learning to leave the past behind. Ultimately I think it's about regret. And as for the raunchy language, it wouldn't be a Kevin Smith movie if there wasn't a few dick and fart jokes in there.

And Jason Lee was amazing in that movie. His best work, I believe, and I've seen EVERYTHING that man has done, he's genius, I ****ing love that guy.

The only thing I'm not sure about is Joey Lauren Adams because I don't know if it would have been better had Kevin cast someone else, I mean did he cast her because they were dating at the time or did he really SEE her as this girl? I don't know, I just really don't like her singing....but I do like Joey Lauren Adams, I loved her in Dazed & Confused.
 
YAY!! i loooove Kevin Smith, seen all of them and my fave has to be Dogma!!! the colours, the cinematography, and the actors

, my second has to be Chasing Amy, i saw Clerks after seeing Dogma and Mallrats sooo i guess i expected to much cause i wasn't impressed althought it did have its moments!

Great Idea starting this thread! I think my faveorite Kevin movie would be Dogma. I love that movie! Faveorite charactor would have to be Bartleby....I

Kevin is one of my fave director, i love his movies so much, i didn't like jersey girl at all but anyway, how awesome was chasing amy (my personal fave), clerks, mallrats, dogma, jay and silent bob ... amazing!!

Can't wait to see the sequel of Clerks, and i'm hoping will be good as the first one was, sometimes sequels sucks, but i have faith in Kevin.
