Hey,

Haven't seen Daredevil yet, but I might. Is anyone here from Jersey? It's great how he has Jersey references in his movies, although my boyfriend said it's more towards central Jersey like when Holden and Alyssa were quizzing each other at the Meow Mix, which I've been to before I ever saw Chasing Amy and the movie makes it look much bigger than it really is.

I love Keven Smith, he is one of my favorite directors, i loved his movie Jay and Silent Bob Strike back, it was funny, and he called Jason Biggs and James Van Der Beek comedy gods, and even let them addlib.

I got KS's new DVD an Evening With Kevin Smith yesterday, but i haven't watched it yet.

Sure, although, if I had to choose to get it again, I wouldn't have paid the price I did for it... It cost me $36, and it's all just talking... I wish it cost just $20 - $25...

I'm thinking about getting Mallrats... Except for some reason it's the most expensive out of all his flicks... I really don't understand why Mallrats got such bad reviews... That flick was hilarious. I laughed the most when Brody was putting down that contestant's cliche answers.

I think Jersey Girl will still delight fans, it just won't have J&SB there this time.

While I don't know if you know this or not, Smith wasn't going to have them appear in the flesh in Chasing Amy, he just decided to have them in there as a link more than anything else.

I love Kevin's movies. Especially Dogma. It cracks me up every time. Jay rocks the most

thanks for the review of An Evening w/KS. I want to buy the DVD now!

and yes you should definetely get the Mallrats SE DVD. It has many deleted scenes, documentary, commentary track with angles where you can see the guys talking and eating while their doing the commentary like the Dogma SE DVD, etc. It's great. The commentary is even funnier than Chasing Amy and Dogma. Oh! and Ben Affleck in a dress

My favorite KS movie is Chasing Amy. I am not a fan of Ben Affleck but i

d this movie.

Joey Lauren Adams is so sweet, i just love her and Jason Lee is one of the most funniest people on earth.

I loved that too. Instead of an X/Y answer he went about entertaining the crowd.

I just saw "Waking Life" the other day. It SERIOUSLY felt like a Kevin Smith movie. There was a "Kevin J Smith" listed as a consultant at the end - was that him? He's usually listed as "Kevin P Smith" when he has an initial, so I wouldn't think so, except that it feels like his work.

Well, either way, if you're a Kevin Smith fan, you'll really like this film.

ETA: JUst looked at the officil movie page, and it has the name "Kevin Smith," but then on the IMDB page it has a "J Kevin Smith."

Wow loscobres!! I am very impressed you noticed all that and you are completely right!!!!

I know that bit, have you looked in the Jersey Girl thread in the Ben forum. Someone has predicted 3 Oscar nominations for this film
Best Actor Ben Affleck
Best Director Kevin Smith
Best Screenplay Kevin Smith

I really hope so! I would love it if Ben and Kevin won Oscars. Everything I have read has really been very positive about Ben, so fingers crossed.

Wow, if it's true about Jennifer...then call me offically excited about Jersey Girl!

Woo!

To make the day even better, I just downloaded that song from Chasing Amy "stay" by coal..it IS awesome!
