I like them all, some more than others but Clerks is by far the best in my opinion.

yep should be cool, not as much of a big fan of clerks, bigger fan of mallrats and jay and silent bob strike back, but I'm gonna give it a second chance when i watch it again one of these days, most likely will pick up the 10 anniversary edition

My favorite is Chasing Amy. I love Amy's little monologue about why she chose Holden.

"I came to this on my own terms. You know, I didn't just heed what I was taught. Man and woman should be together. It's the natural way. That kind of thing. I'm not with you because of what family, society, life, tried to instill in me from day one The way the world is, how seldom it is that you meet that one person who just GETS you. It's so rare. My parents didn't really have it. There were no examples set for me in the world of male-female relationships. And to cut oneself off from finding that person. To immediately half your options by eliminating the possibility of finding that one person within our own gender, that just seemed stupid to me. So I didn't."

My second favorite would probably be Mallrats. Then Dogma. I saw Clerks after I'd seen most of the others, so I think I was expecting too much. I haven't seen J&SBSB yet. Soon. Very soon.

Thank you for posting that...I never would've know otherwise! That was so sad...I hope that him and his family are all alright!

Wow, thought this thread had been relegated to the FF gloom...

Anyway, thought I'd resurrect it as I've just this minute downloaded the Jersey Girl trailer. Watch it here and say what you thought of it...got a feeling it might be a bit 'icky' for me. I don't mind a good romcom if the chemistry is there, but I think Ben Affleck might be a bit wooden for me. And then there's the kid factor.

I guess it just seems very different from his usual movies, and I'm a little freaked by change

The Smith DVD was funny. Long, but funny. He went on about how hiw wife almost cut his dick off the first time they had sex and then told her about it a month after they got married

I like Kevin Smith as a writer/director, but he did a nice job in "Catch and Release" as the wacky friend. I enjoyed his acting a lot. I don't know if I could Silent Bob as acting.

Wow, I love Kevin Smith. The only one I've not seen of his is J&SBSB, which I'll probably buy this week

In fact, I watched Dogma again this weekend - that film gets better each time I watch it.

I love all his movies, but my personal favourite has to be Chasing Amy. I remember watching it a few years ago for the first time when I was having some problems with my boyfriend (the whole dealing with past issues thing) and some of those scenes with Holden and Alyssa were really quite painfully observant - I vowed I'd never watch it again after we broke up but I did.

Fave character? Aside from the main ones...In Clerks I'd say Randall - the perfect sidekick to Dante. Or the Egg Man. And Dogma has many favourite - Azrael, Metatron...and Banky in Amy.

And those commentaries on the DVDs are darn well inspired.

Hey, I love Kevin Smith and all his movies. I really can't wait for Jersey Girl!!!!

I wonder when Kevin will update his Jersey Girl Diary, it said in the last one That 2 months ago!

Kevin mentioned on the wwwboard that he is trying to get Harvey to move the Jersy Girl release date, he said he wanted to be far away from that flick (IE Matrix 2)

I didn`t know that there`s going to be a 10th anniversary edition of Clerks. I was going to get a copy of the one disk version, but i`ll wait and get the 10th anniversary edition. Hopefully it`ll have plenty of good stuff in it. Of course they have to have the alternate ending in it. I have yet to see it.

Kevin's Dad passed away on Sunday.
My condolescences to Kevin and his family.
