kentucky law re: moving with children?

My husband is lying, stealing money, and probably using drugs. I want to move with our 2 boys back to NE from KY, but wouldn't put it past him to say I was kidnapping them. Do I need to get an atty involved? What is the law?
 
Why don't you divorce him. No court would give him the kids if he is stealing money and using drugs.
I would definitely get an attorney involved.
 
Are you and your husband separated? is there any court order set for child support, or visitations? if there is no court orders just take the kids and leave. do not tell him where you are but keep in contact with him so he can talk with his children. establish residency in the state you will be moving before you go to court to get child support. most states are 6 months, before you can say you are a resident.
