Kenmore Dishwasher has an error code e8 flashing.?

I have a Lady Kenmore Dishwasher that is about 10 years old. It has worked just fine with NO problems till now. I loaded it and hit Favorite Cycle the one i use every time. It filled up with Hot water and the gave me the flashing E8 code. i hit cancel and it gave me E6. I opened it and made sure nothing was in the way and nothing i shut the door and it still reads E8. i dont have the Book any more i looked and cant find anything on line. can some one please help me out here
