I read reviews of this pack and most everyone rates it highly on comfort/safety/durability. The only complaint I have found is that on some older models the pin that adjusts the torso length slips out and the pack shifts/slides.
I purchased a pack today and so far I am pleased with it. But now I'm wondering, how do I know if it has this problem. I want to know before I take my son hiking in it. I did not buy it from a conventional store ( got it 60% off brand new with tags, but open box at a consignment sale). Some people say that Kelty is doing a silent recall to fix this problem, is that still true?
and yes, I did some web searches before posting this question
