Keeping crickets or worms?

Does anyone keep crickets or worms for fishing? I want to keep them so I can fish with them but dont know what i need. How much money would it cost and i dont want to take up lots of space. does it take lots of time also? also what is the best rig u guys think there is for them other than the bobber- weight-hook method
