Keeping a Dog Outdoors?

yes it is better to keep these breeds outside it will probably be too warm in your house most of the time for them, i have 4 collies and they all live outside all year round and are just fine, the old one and the puppy come in at night but they all have/will sleep outside. i know many other dogs that sleep outside and arnt harmed at all.

i agree little chihuahuas and dogs like that should live inside but huskies and elkhounds originate from snowy places where it is below freezing in the middle of the day, let alone at night, so in the UK or USA or where ever you live the dogs will be fine!
 
Is it okay to keep breeds like Huskies, Norwegian Elkhounds etc. outside all year round? Also could you keep it indoors some of the time and outdoors some of the time?

Outdoors as in, in a secure area made just for the dog with a proper fence, water, toys, shelter from weather and stuff... what else would it need?
