"Do the Royals have any fans left?"

Their attendance is over 1,500,000 so far this season. I guess there are few still going to games.

left? Do the Royals have any fans left? Maybe the Royals need an owner who didn't make his bones running Wal-mart.

The bad decisions Moore has made aren't particularly worse than other GMs have made, but running the Royals means there's less leeway for mistakes to be made. And I, granted just a detached baseball fan and not a Royals organization insider, cannot see any basis for giving the man five years of job security. (I won't harp on this season too much; the Royals are probably second only to the Mets in debilitating injuries to key players. But, yes, mistakes have been made.)

Moore might really have a magic touch, or perhaps he'll just be stupid-lucky some year. But does five years of even the same ol' thing give Royals fans any rays of hope?

Will Moore last the entire time until 2014?

i just noticed there r no royal's fans here
probably the bandwagoners from the beginning of the season when grenike was so good left

I have never heard of this guy, but he just sounds like trouble. He wants money and not wins. The problem is the Royals were good in the 80s, and George Brett was one if the greatest hitters ever. Greinke has been amazing this year, unlike anyone else. They were a good baseball town, but now they're just like Pittsburgh- no money put in for the fans. It would be nice if Kansas City and Pittsburgh could become contenders again.

Dayton Moore has made a few mistakes, but when most of his deals were announced the fans were very supportive. How many fans could see in their crystal balls that Crisp, Jacobs, Olivo, Guillen, Bannister, et. al. would falter as they have this year? I'm not sure if the timing of this extension is a good thing, but I think in the long run it is probably going to turn out all right for the franchise. We do need a shortstop, and a consistent left-handed power hitter would be nice (maybe a power hitting catcher?). I would think these needs, along with a horrendous bullpen, will be addressed over the winter.

I think the team name should be changed to The Greinkes :)

Zack Greinke is really saving this team at this point.. I don't understand the extension either O.o? Such a good team with a nice history too.... I hope they can realize that their management sucks...

i say he's not gonna make it until 2014 lol
