one of my favourite banRAB.

waiting for Dousing Anemone, and the Split with Bloody Panda to arrive... both on 12" vinyl. wooo.

Toby Driver's solo work is worth checking out too, as are Maudlin of the Well.

I heard a song from the split and it's insane. Soooooo good. I saw this band last year and they put on the most amazing show. I'm going to see mia (the violin) player play a show with gregor samsa on the 15th.

damn you damn you... :P

i know about the split... i really cant wait for it to arrive, the artwork and packaging look stunning aswell. Have you heard Bloody Panda? i thought no band could be equal in a split with Kayo Dot... but they actually manage it.

Some people really get into the arabience of Post Rock and I for one do not find it tedious at all. It's all about switching off and being comfortable with the music but some definitely do find it tedious.

The new album is simply superb.

Because post-rock is just tedious?

OT: Tried to play 2 songs, after about 3-4 minutes got tired of waiting for the song to actually start...yawn! :|

In wasn't sure where to put this thread, as they are a mixture of different genres. I like to think of them as avant garde though, either way they're a very good modern group.

Here's a song from their latest album that I really enjoy:

Symmetrical Arizona

And for fun:

Gemini Becoming the Tripod

Currently I have three of their albums including Blue Larabency Downward, Choirs of the Eye and Dowsing Anemone with Copper Tongue.
Your opinions on them? Have you heard of them? etc.

Search is your friend ;)

Yeah, I like them. All three albums they've released have been superb. Some didn't like their last release, "Blue Larabency Downward", but it's definitely one of my favorite releases this year. Weird jazzy avant-garde experimental rock?! Definitely my thing!
