My motorcycle tries to start but just turns the starter motor. It's not burned up because it will start after I push start it. I cant figure out why it is doing this. Can anyone suggest any ideas so I don't have to spend a lot of money just to have it looked at?

Just reading this it sounds like a weak battery issue. What happens if you jump it from another battery?

If you push start it and ride for a while, can you shut it off and start it right back up?

If so, your battery is weak, you push start it and ride so the charging system puts a little life into the battery.

I think it might crank right up if you jump it from a car.

first check the spark plugs.if they are fouled out with carbon the wont start the bike as well as push starting because the motor doesn't turn over as fast with the starter motor.also some newer kaws have different ignition circuits used to fire the coils during starting.make sure the plugs are firing when cranking.last check for any vacuum leaks . vacuum is lowest at start, so if there are leaks it wont get enough fuel
