Most motorcycles with have afew pipes hanging out below the frame .
1. engine breather
2. Airbox drain
3. tank drain( especially on flush mounted caps like on a GS500). The pipe will connect to an outlet tube on the bottom of the tank. Then a metal tube, welded into the tank will pass up to the fuel cap. This is there so that any rain water, drains off, insted of sitting there waiting to fallin in upon opening. You may see a tiny hole next to the filler hole aprox 4mm dia.
4. battery overflow pipe. Common on old led acid filled batteries
5. some bikes may have carburettor overflow and/or drain pipes too

Overflow or breather pipe from the petrol tank.
Remove the front seat (two bolts at front) and you will see a short pipe coming out of the back of the tank near the bottom secured with a spring clip.
Works perfectly safely without it... lots of em go missing.

hi, was washing my '99 zx6r g2 the other day and found a longish pipe hanging down along side the rear shock, straight away i knew this was out of place. A small amount of manual flickery told me that its the breather pipe off the back of the fuel tank but cant find where the other end should go, it seemed to be running fine the other day. Any ideas?
