As you say, there's not much between them as regards top speed. But top speed isn't everything. I would consider other factors such as comfort, fuel economy, insurance cost, luggage capacity, price and availability of spares, and so on. Get a test ride on both - at least 20 minutes on each and see which suits your riding style and offers the most comfort and the best handling. A few mph either way, when you're talking about speeds above 150 mph, is hardly important. Or not in my opinion anyway. Pete.
