Kawasaki Prairie 360 Motor Knocks When it is Shut Off ?

I have an 07 Kawasaki Prairie 360, 4x4, 4 stroke ATV. I recently noticed that the motor makes a knocking sound when it is shut off. Does anyone know the first place I need to start in troubleshooting this issue before I have to take it to a dealer?
 
Im not sure what your talking about as far as a knock? Is it a loud knock? You are probably hearing the aluminum case cooling off. When aluminum becomes warm/hot it will expand. When it cools it will contract. This is what you are hearing.It is normal and you should not be concerned.
If it is not this does it occour when the ignition key is on? Can you pen-point the exact location of the ping. If you can describe it and I will try to answer your question. Hope I have helped.
