The ninja 250R seems like an amazing beginner bike.
-The seating position
-The price
-The neon green. I would be visible faster to others that are driving.
-The amount of cc's. All I need is about 70mph tops.
-It's stylish
-It's nimble and sleek.

Please don't be a squid and say the bike is too small or anything. loll

Is Kawasaki a reliable company? I hear that their KLR's break down a lot and hear stories of people having problem with their bikes.

Should I stick to a Honda CBR 125?

It seems like a kick butt bike too but I feel like I need a little more power than 125 cubes.

I rate the top answers =)
Thanks all

Of the two, get the Ninja.

I know people have told you to stay away from 600CCs but Yamaha makes a new FZ6R that is great looking and without the race engine of say an R6. That bike is also a beginners bike.

The Ninja is a great bike with a huge following. So huge dealers are comfortable charging hundreds of dollars in extra profit. Don't go for it, buy something else.

I WAS going to go with a CBR 125 because it's dirt cheap to own(less than 700$ for the summer season including gas) but essentially it's a glorified scooter. You might not even be able to get 65mph out of it.

You'll be plenty happy with the Ninjette. It's an inexpensive sports bike and looks dam good. They are pretty reliable, you get 1 year warranty standard. The only problem i've heard about the bike is the whining sound that comes from the gas tank.

Never had a Kwak 'break' on me.This is simple,do you want to cruse at comfortable speeds with minimum effort.Or,do you want a bike that screams and pleads for mercy at 50+mph.My choice would be the former.Good luck.

I would go with the Kawi 250R. The Honda CBR 125 is way too small. If I were you I would not buy anything lower than 600cc because of the roads in US are so big.

seems like you're the squid...

kawasaki Ninja 250R is a great starter bike...I had a zx6r and a zx7r Ninja before...never given me any problem at all

if you want the Honda I'd stick with NSR250 if it's availible where you're at...
