Kawasaki Ninja's get 86 mpg?!?!?

just saw it in an answer and i find that hard to believe, i had a kawasaki klx250 with a SIXTH gear and only got 46 on the best day.
klx's not a ninja, its a dual purpose, single cynlinder
 
One of my co-workers has an 08 250R. He rides mainly Interstate back and forth to work at usually around 70MPH and he is averaging around 62MPG. I don't think you will ever see 86MPG out of one although you may get 70MPG if you are riding a bit slower than he does. He is taching way up there and 70MPH.
 
you had a crappy ninja, or you were always driving the bag off it cuz my buddy always gets in the high 60s/low 70s and he is an average size fellow. also running high octane he got better milage
