About how much would I expect to pay for a tune up or maybe even an inspection of a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja 500r with 3,700 miles? I just bought the bike (my first bike) from a private party and i suspect it needs a tune up because the idle speed is around 500 rpm. I've read I raise the idle speed by turning the knob by the carburetor but with a quick look I couldn't locate it. I also don't feel comfortable tinkering with the settings of the bike. So could I possibly get a ballpark estimate of how much a tune up would cost? Oh and I live in the Chicago area if that makes a difference.
