Kawasaki Ninja 500 "Naked" Headlight/Turn Signal Replacement, Gauge Cluster...

...Remounting, and Cleaning Up Wiring? I have to preface this with the statement that I have never modified a motorcycle before. I am in the process of picking up a Ninja 500 with a messed up front fairing and headlight. I am looking to strip it down into a "naked" bike, and wanted to find out what is involved in replacing the headlight and turn signals with aftermarkets in terms of wiring? If I buy an aftermarket light that comes with a wiring harness, is it simply a matter of plugging it in and mounting it (after removing what's left of the fairing and fairing bracket)? Do motorcycle headlights have universal wiring harnesses that work across brands, or is it a matter of matching up and crimping the correct wires? Same question for the turn signals?

Nextly, I will need to find a new location for the Gauges (speedo, tach.) Would it be difficult to remount the stock gauges, or would I need to buy an aftermarket setup? Are the gauges housed in a separate case that can be mounted independently from the fairing?

Lastly, does anyone have any tips as far as "cleaning up" and hiding the wiring that would have otherwise been hidden by the fairing?

Thank you all in advance for all your help.
