kawasaki ninja 250r ?

just got one of the new ninjas and after two riding days have over 100 miles on it
its great but sometimes when i start in first going up a hill ill get into first and as up going up the engine starts to slow and when i pull the throttle back it doesnt do anything
the same idea happened though it made sense i took a turn and went up a hill in sixth going a couple miles a hour pulling back the throttle didnt do much until i got to a higher speed but that made sense because i was going to slow for a high gear with a 250
im just wondering what this could be ecause thats the only time i have a problem
should i rev the engine more to start or keep it even longer
is something not tuned right
put 60 miles on it yesterday and it wass a decent ride but i had this on my mind and the wind was pushing me all around
i highly recomend this bike though
 
I'm not saying you didn't but did you release both brakes fully?

The first two times i practiced doing hill starts (15% grade) i was on a 400 practically screaming the engine and it would only inch up. I knew something was wrong but on the 3rd try i realized that i wouldn't fully let go of the back brake. After that it worked fine.

Unless you're in SF, Ca i don't see why this bike should have a problem. Plus the bike is new, it might still be working out the kinks.
