Alright, so I've been looking into motorcycles mainly for the great MPG, and also because I've always loved them. However I'll be going to school next semester and I need something mainly for commuting down to work and school, and once I finish schooling I'll upgrade to something better.
I've heard a lot of good reviews for the Ninja being a starter bike, but the downsides are that it's very light (I'm 5'2" and 120lbs) and it can be blown around on the highways. If I were to take it to work, I'd be stuck on the highway for at least 30+ minutes, so safety is an issue here too.
But is the Ninja in general a great starter bike? Especially for a female rider?
