kawasaki ninja 250cc or honda shadow 734cc?

So i am getting my motorcycle soon and i cant decide if i want the ninja or shadow. any advice? any who has rode both? again this is my first bike, i have grown up riding my dads bike with him. he has always had a cruiser. i am leaning towards the ninja myself.
 
Talk about apples and oranges. Again it is more of a question of WHERE will you be riding.

The Honda is a cruiser, as in "let's get on a highway and cruise!" It is a far better bike than the Ninja if you will be taking off on weekend trips.

The Kawasaki is 200 pounds lighter, far easier to handle in traffic, far better for daily use on local streets and freeways.
