Kawasaki Ninja 250 riders only, please help!!?

Okay so I'm a new rider lookin' to experience the brotherhood and freedom of riding a motorcycle, but I also want to ride safe. So the Ninja 250r, not sure what year yet(later model maybe?), is the one for me. It's got the nice looks that resemble it's older bros and has a little power to back it up and allow you to hang with the big dogs. For a while anyway lol What I was wanting to know is, what is the smallest/most average down payment you can put down for the Ninja 250? I need to know what money I'll need to bring to the dealership. Thanks in advance. Ride safe(((=

The amount of downpayment would be calculated on the price of the bike and the conditions the dealer places on the purchase. That is based on the purchase price and your credit rating. The purchase price depends on which model your buying. It is possible to walk into a dealership, and ride out without laying down $1 for a down payment, full credit. That's usually only for customers with a fantastic credit rating, and a very good buying history as well as regular and quick credit payments.
Really it comes down to what youre buying, obviously an older model, like a 1995 250 Ninja costs less than a 2005 model. You dont mention what area you are in, but a quick look in the classified or ebay will show you what the average prices are. For example a 1995 Ninja in Endicott NY is on sale for $800. While a 2005 Ninja in Dallas is listed at $2000.
One suggestion, why not talk to some of the female riders, particularly those members of riding clubs. There are many lady riders who know of good dealers, as well as anyone who is selling a bike. You will often buy a bike far cheaper privately than going through a dealer.
