I have a 88 gpz600r and finished and engine change on the bike, it was running fine if not a wee bit smokey but i put that down to the engine been lying for a while. I left the bike for a week without starting waiting on other parts before she was ready for m.o.t. so i went out the other day and it started but when i gave it any throttle it was stalling straight away, happened a few times until it wouldnt start at all, took 2 of the spark plugs out after being confused because ccleanedthe whole carbs out last week. well the spark plugs were soaking with water. i was thinking maybe head gasket but not sure. anyone got any insight please?
i did have the petrol tank sitting outside in the rain for a few days but i cant see enough getting into the tank to fill the float bowl to the point it is flowing into the cylinders, think yous are right head gasket or hole/crack in the head. i will do a compression
and thanks for the input lads
