Kavekarst asked a couple days ago about weird bell sounds underwater (apparently near Haiti) and then we have this big earthquake. Anyone else think that my dismissal of the sounds as nothing odd was wrong?
I think he may have experienced one of those odd precursor events that are mentioned here and there but are hard to prove as real. He should contact an earthquake expert about it and tell his experience. The cooincidence is pretty hard to dismiss (a day before the big earthquake he wrote "I'll tell Haiti not to worry" when he gave me best answer for what I think now was probably wrong).
What you geo experts think about that oddity?
