Along with Shonen Jump's previous Crunchyroll run in with Eyeshield 21. It seems that they're at it again with SJ Advance's REBORN!.

Here's more

The anime's set to hit the site this month.

So that's that. I haven't actually seen any of it, but I've heard lots of good things about it, and what I read of the manga seemed interesting, so I'm glad to hear Crunchyroll will simulcast it.

Are they only showing new episodes as they're broadcast in Japan or are they going to upload the whole series onto Crunchyroll?

According to this news articles on Crunchyroll, they're going to upload the whole series, but at a slower rate than usual, with 2 episodes a week for Anime Merabers and 1 episode a week for everyone else. Here's the schedule for the next 3 weeks:

March 20th:
Episode 125 for Anime Merabers
Episode 1 and 2 for free users (and Anime Merabers)

March 27th:
Episodes 3,4, and 126 for Anime Merabers
Episodes 3 and 125 for free users

April 3rd:
Episodes 5,6, and 127 for Anime Merabers
Episodes 4 and 126 for free users

Very close. There are fillers but only between arcs. So far, everything is the same plot as the manga.

However, the anime is catching up to the manga so with the latest episodes instead of doing Bleach's thing when they put fillers in the middle of canon, they make the episodes about 15-18 minutes long (including last episode stuff) and fill in the rest of the time with this super deformed interview of the characters.

That's...kind of annoying honestly.

I shall second this.

I literally had to pry myself away so I could go to work and school and stuff because I started doing like 5 episodes a day. (It takes like 15 episodes of filler before it gets good though so that might turn some people off)

I love how the freaking front page has a huge spoiler on it. Though they are technically marketing this out towarRAB people who are caught up with the series.

Cool.

Now should the talkback thread focus only on the new episodes like the Gintama one or should it focus on the backlog episodes like the Digimon Adventure 02 thread?

What I do when I update PiPoPa is list all the episodes available that week. I then divide it into different colors based on whether it's an early part of the series or simulcast. I also then put in parenthesis whether it's for everyone or for Anime Merabers. If it's currently only for Anime Merabers, then I also try to give the date it will be available for everyone else.
