Im rather put of by the advert with the maker describing it a "The best thing ive ever seen" Its all scripted which is fine but they make him out to be some type of free styling wit.
 
My favourite lines from the 'Karl Pilkington' character is that whole bit in one of the podcast episodes where he's describing having been invited along to some film company to propose ideas for a movie.

I know the whole is scripted in advance, but it did still have me absolutely howling with laughter. :D The guy who plays him is a brilliant actor.
 
I think he's kind of midway between a character and his personality.... I don't think it's scripted, but he has to play on it a little. Hard to decide! Funny and great nonetheless.

He plays into it. Those who listened to the old shows on XFM will know that he used to be more 'normal', and that he's pretty funny himself. He is not a 'character' though, and he is definitely not scripted.

He knows what is expected of him now, and he provides it.
