I don't think he is an 'idiot', I think he has taken one part of his personality and blown it up into something entertaining. Loving this show though it makes me want to cringe and sometimes (like when Karl was in the hotel smelling of turps) I just want to pay for his ticket home :D :o
 
The rumour I've heard is he's actually a classically-trained actor called Graham.

Supposedly his head is mostly prosthetic too - under the make-up it's actually quite oblong.
 
Your entitled to you own opinion like anyone else, but I happen to think your wrong. I met 'Karl' a couple of years ago, had a lengthy conversation with him and I can confidently say he is not an idiot. :)
 
Karls thoughts on the great wall:

P.S that Graham rumour is pure porkies.
 
I cant stand Gervais either, his performance at that awarRAB show was like the embarassing uncle you wish would just sit down at a wedding. I'm V+ing it so I can fast forward the annoying bits.
