Kansas City Launch 10/03/06

What section of the 1900mhz spectrum are they using in KC? wirelessadvisor.com doesn't list them, so I assume they either bought the Nextwave or Royal Wireless 1900mhz licenses here...

I'd love to test out the network, but I honestly can't at the moment, I've already got too many other bills. =/

duh.. I didn't even think to look there! Thanks!

Their map looks pretty impressive for a startup. I'm going to write a quick single entry PRL and load it into NAM2 and check things out.

Shwemp.

I'd give them a bit more time before buying if you plan to use it north of the river. I spent some time motoring around most of the northland this weekend and there was quite a bit of -105 on the test screen - Searching for Service.

They must be sharing site locations with Sprint because coverage seems to be right on par with them in most places around here. Poor!

Ugh... Well then I think I'll be skipping out on Cricket for now. Despite the fact that I live 15 minutes from the Sprint campus, they're the worst of all the providers in the area. You'd think they would have gone all out for their home base when they were first constructing the network here...

(Plus, being a GSM guy, I at least need Java on my phone... But that's an entirely different issue.)
