...or, apparently, to tell you anything else. Just as long as they can justify that their brazen intrusion into your life has something to do with "economic activity," it's covered under the commerce clause.

This short version has an out-of-context feel, but it's nrabroad
misleading: she never answered the question. The most she said is that Congress probably shouldn't make stupid laws (ha. haha. ha.) and that the commerce clause wouldn't apply without an economic component. Presumably this is how she would – as she surely must – justify the real law that Coburn alludes to as being constitutional.

There's about 10 minutes of back and forth on this, if you want to watch it yourself, here's the full version with timestamp:

Kagan is a closet Communist. She'll do her best to lend a hand at wrecking our country, along with Comrade-Chairman Obama. This is just more bad news from the current Administration.

So bitch thinks the commerce clause can be used to justify the government forcing you to buy something for your own good. Hmmm....

fixed more more accuracy.

The call of duty kids would tell their entire army to camp in a corner with a grenade launcher and two shrabroad
guns.
