Let's get some traffic in the Sony Ericsson forum. Would you choose the K850 or the W960? State your reasons and read what others have to say.

For me, I choose the W960 because a 5MP is more of an overload, so a 3.15 camera is good enough for me. This phone is going to be replacing my iPod, so having the Walkman player is probably a must. Since I always go on vacation, and I do not like to bring my laptop with me, the W960 is the one that has Wi-fi.

Anyone else?

Between the K850i and the W960i?...that's easy for me, the K850i.

One main reason I decided not to choose the W960i is because it uses the OS Symbian UIQ. Sony Ericsson has always been one of the best manufacturers in making camera phones and music phones. However, SE has lagged in the smartphone division after its heyday of the P910i/a. Ever since, SE's smartphones have been slow featurewise when compared to Nokia's N Series and HTC's WM highend smartphones. Also, after the P910, the M600i, W950i, and P990i have been plagued with their buggy initial firmware. However, SE has been trying to change that image with the newest smartphones. But I still think that Symbian UIQ should be retooled. Compared to Nokia's Symbian, UIQ is slower and clunky.

Another reason is because I would like to carry less electronics with me. Of course, I still have a dedicated digital camera. But for everyday use, using a K850i would lighten the load for everyday use. I'll probably wait at least 6 months after its launch for firmware updates and price drop. But this would complement my PSP and my [soon to buy] K550i. Another reason is because the K850i supports US 3G. This would be great for people who like photoblogging and quick web browsing. Plus, with the Xenon flash, the K850i takes excellent night shots. I never really liked the K800/790 and the K810i because their use of joysticks. At times, they can be clumsy and not as responsive as SE's D-pads.

I also don't like to bring my laptop with me everywhere I go. And I can't depend on Wi-Fi alot because I'm mostly on the go. So having the use of 3G really helps. In any case, SE's new lineup looks promising.

W960! Looks better, has Wi-Fi and even saw a video showing how Wii's remote can access games with it. Really feature-packed!

get the w960 ;) I've used a few W series and they are awesome in terms of camera and other features :)
