Ok, another question. After you forward lock your music files, where do you save them? I have tried saving them everywhere, but no matter where I do, they still won't show up as rigntones...
EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out again. Just paste it in with the "Phone Memory folder". NOT INSIDE the folder.
hey that website doesn't work anymore, it says the shaw website cannot be found. Those were the instructions i used to set my mp3 as ringtones. can you write it up again please? cause yours was the only one that ever worked
took me all ****en day but i figured it out.... stupid rogers makes me do all this work.
all you do is modify the files using the DRM package and paste them into the root dir of the phone... than the phone will beep and ask you if you want to change it to your new ringtone.
If anyone needs a detail description e-mail me at [email protected]. I will help anyone who asks as i hate rogers
aww never mind that wasn't the one. there was another which you had to
change the configuration settings and stuff. like you had to change it to combined delivery or delivery lock or something? and then change the rights as well
i have a problem here
i downloaded the DRM...
and follow the instructions
but until the step in the last part...
i copied the XXX.dm file to my phone
then i go to my music file in the phone to see if it can use or not
but in the music file those files are not a MUSIC file...
and i put the mp3(music file) there again..it can make the mp3 use as ringtone
I made a guide around here somewhere a while ago... Yeah I hate Rogers as well, they locked that feature to make you buy the ringtones. That's why I switched to Fido.
I tried using the SE DRM v1.35 to convert some MP3's but my Rogers K790a doesn't even recognize the files let alone let me set them as ringtones... been at this for hours. :flamemad:
Roger's locked the use of mp3 ringers for a reason, it's to promote the sales of ringtones, themes, wallpapers, other media type files you can buy off your web browser
i have the same issue
there are mp3 songs that they have in my phone that i can use as a ringtone but when i transfer some it doesn't work ...
i'm using a macbook
any suggestions to what softwares i can use or if there is a place where there is kpop midi files
might anyone mind directing me there...
plz and thank you
Figured it out... use the SE DRM packager proggy to forward-lock the MP3's and then with the phone in "phone mode" hooked up to the PC send the file over to the SE File Manager... it picks up the file and recognizes it for useage as a ringtone!
I've found the all the other media (games, themes, wallpapers) are not locked like the ringtones. F*** you Rogers, I've beaten their lame-@$$ money making scheme.
