K&N's for my Maruader Should I do it?

I have a '98 Suzuki Marauder and I am scheduled to have a stage 1 kit installed to go with the K & N filters I just bought. I have Cobra pipes on it. The cobra's came with the bike. I bought the bike used in '05. Overall the bike runs good, I just thought I may be able to get a little more out of it with the K&N's. Does anyone have any thoughts whether or not I should move ahead with the stage 1 kit and the K&N filters?

An area in the rpm range where the engine doesn't make more power as engine speed rises, or where it even drops temporarily. Most motorcycle carburetors have three fuel circuits which are active depending on throttle, and the flat spots tend to occur near the transitions between them. If you're letting too much air in, a lean mixture is created at one particular throttle opening that may feel like stumble when accelerating.

I did put in the 2 K&N filters in my Marauder. I had to go with the Dynoflo Stage 2 kit. I did a little valve work but it runs great. I see a noticeable difference in the HP especially in the torque. I'm not sure how much more power I gained but it's very noticeable. I would think at least 10hp. My Cobra pipes have even a more throatier sound. Overall I'm very glad I did it and she's running great.

Would love to find out how the jetting and K&N combo was tuned. . . Mine is in for service at the moment for that specific problem. On first attempt with the K&N installed and jetted they were not able to get the right fuel flow so the K&Ns were removed and stock air restored. Please enlighten me with all details possible, My dealership couldn't manage it, kept the bike on the dyno for xtra hours before admitting defeat.
