I found this JVC Amplifier KS-AX3002 $119.95 which will run 2 speakers on 2 Ohms at 90 watts RMS

The Dimensions are (8-3/8 in.

u should buy the arc mini amp and it will velcro to the top of your radio.they are a little pricey but will go behind your fairing with no problems.

I have just purchased this amp, Crutchfield - 59.95 - free shiping. Once I get it installed I will give you an update. My initial measurements indicate it will fit. We shall see.

Wow that is a great price. Yes please let me know I am very interested. Since i plan on velcroing it down i figured i could cut off the metal mounting lips on the sides to make room if neeeded. I have no idea how to set all the knobs dials and switches on an amp but for that price Ill figure it out

A couple of things if you are going to use this amp. Do not run 2ohm speakers such as the factory speakers. This will create to much heat. Replace with good quality 4 ohm speakers. I am using Sony Db series speakers. Marine tested, very efficient, reasonably priced. Also do not bridge this amp to gain more power. Again to much heat. Good luck.

It's been too long since I measured the space available when I was shopping for an amp--ended up with the Arc 125.2. Your width is fine; but, depth and height may be an issue. My guess is that you'll be able to fit it in. It can get more problematical if you add accessories requiring the non-Ultra overlay harness since it runs across the top of the radio taking up quite a bit of space. The space required can also be effected based on where the wiring connections need to be made.

You'll want a good ground; there's a ground lug on the rider's left side of the triple tree easily accessible with the fairing cap and outer fairing removed.

Post some pics of your install and good luck with your project.

REALLY?

If I buy it Im definately running it at 2 ohms for my J&M speakers. Im not sure what bridging is so I cant say if I will be doing that.

Will it get too hot? How do the other 2ohm amps work?

.

I really need some help on this one.

I compared this JVC amp to the ARC and J&M and they seem the same in the fact they both do 4 ohm and 2 ohm and none of them have a fan in them.

I am already worried about putting the ARC or J&M amp in my fairing because of the heat so when the poster above said "dont run 2 ohm" it freaked me out.

Can I put this amp in my fairing and be ok running it at 2 ohm x 2?

Posting this for anyone considering the JVC amp. Well I got the JVC amp installed. I would not reccomend this to anyone with a Roadglide. It will not fit anywhere as it is. I ended up doing a lot of modifications to the case of the amp to get it to fit. On the positive side the amp with my Polk speakers sound truley assume! It also does not heat up much at all. Again this amp will drive a 2OHM load and I am only driving a 4OHM load. At 4 OHMS the 65 watsss RMS is plenty! Even at speeds of 70+ the system sound great and not tiny or all treble. I imagine any good amp with these speakers would give you the same sound. If I were to do this over I would spend the extra $ and get an amp that fits as is. Either an ARC KS125.2 or an ELF Audio E2125X.
