Pop star Justin Bieber — named in a screwball scheme in which two alleged hit men plotted to castrate and slay their victims — wasn’t exactly on the chopping block.
While a court affidavit claims that mastermind Dana Martin, 45, allegedly wanted Bieber and his bodyguard kidnapped and killed, the sicko never explicitly said the 18-year-old singer should have his manhood mangled as well, according to CBC News.
Martin allegedly hired Mark Staake, 41, whom he knew from a stint in New Mexico state prison, to strangle four people with a paisley tie — Martin's criminal calling card. It was suggested that the first two targets, who live in Vermont, would be castrated at a payout of $2,500 per testicle, according to the affidavit.
Castration, however, wasn’t specifically mentioned in the plot to kill Bieber and his bodyguard, CBC News said.
Martin is reportedly obsessed with the Canadian-born “Baby” singer, and even has a tattoo of him on his leg, according to the Toronto Star.
But court papers also claim he felt snubbed by the teen heartthrob after sending him several letters.

Martin told investigators "he was seeking a measure of notoriety so that there would be people outside of prison who would know who he ... was."
To carry out the hit jobs, Staake, of Albuquerque, recruited his 23-year-old nephew, Tanner Ruane, police said. The men allegedly wanted to kidnap Bieber in New York at the end of November, when he was performing at Madison Square Garden.
But the plan unraveled before any murders were committed: Staake was arrested Nov. 20 in Vermont on an outstanding warrant.
Ruane, who was with him, was initially let go, but later arrested by New York State Police on Nov. 26, CBS affiliate KRQE reported. He allegedly had a pair of pruning shears with him.
Police say it was Martin — currently serving a life sentence for the rape and murder of a Vermont teen in 2000 — who alerted them to the sinister plot.
In a recorded phone call, Ruane told Martin that while Staake was going to focus on “putting down the ‘dogs,’” he would handle the “snip, snip” part, the Toronto Star said.
For unexplained reasons, the convicted killer apparently had a change of heart when it came to Bieber.
New Mexico police are trying to extradite Staake and Ruane.
As for the teen superstar, news of the terrifying plot didn't stop him from pressing ahead Wednesday night at a radio station concert in Atlanta.
"We take every precaution to protect and ensure the safety of Justin and his fans," Bieber's rep said in a statement.
