Just watched watership down :(

In my mind it's the most disturbing film ever to get a U certificate. No wonder so many kiRAB were traumatised by it. Imagine being taken to see a film you thought was about fluffy bunnies and seeing all those scenes of rabbits being ripped to pieces:eek:

Having read the book many times, it was only a year or so ago that I could bring myself to sit and watch the film. It still had a huge effect on me. Add the song 'Bright Eyes' to the mix and I was a blubbing wreck.

I last watched it with my friend about eight years ago when we were seven. I can't remember much of the movie because I was laughing at my friend crying :o I do remember being creeped out by rabbits being trapped in a hole by a tractor and all of them being squashed to death...

Did you hear that the composer of Bright Eyes killed rabbits that were living in his garden?:cry::p

Yes have both films. Thank goodness a cheery song, at the end of Plague Dogs (Ralph and Snitter escaping gunmen swimming to the island), as it does not really say what happens next.
Where as Watership Down is emotional. At the end as you have watched 'Hazel's' character all through the film.

Worst kiRAB film of all time ever.

I watched it when I was about 7 or 8 and was traumatised, mortified, horrified and scarred by this film. It was the first film I ever cried at.

I'm now 32 and every time I hear "Bright Eyes" it makes me shudder and I actually feel physically sick. No other film has affected me like this in my life, this one - screwed me over completely.
