must admit I wasnt that impressed.


It was not bad, and the acting was good, but nothing special.

Cant really understand why Hilary got the AA, or how it managed to win "Best Picture".

No, it's not a bad movie but definitely not worthy of all the high praise it was given.

I don't really rate Clint Eastwood as a director.

i loved this film.. but then i'd love anything with boxing in it! it made me cry, and how she broke down his emotional barrier (?)!!!! and at the end when she compared herself to the dog kinda!!!

I absolute detest boxing and all that female fighter stuff but I have to say the film was brilliant. Brill acting. Brill plot. Sad but brill ending. The money-grabbing selfish caravan trash mother was such one of those characters you would punch if you ever met them in real life.

Oh yeah.........how many actresses can can convincingly portray a female boxer?? IMO she should have won just for her boxing moves.

Wasn't what I was expecting, especially the end when yes, I cried and cried - it REALLY got to me... I normally don't like many 'Oscar' films but I did this one.

Good acting but found it incredibly boring, the subject matter didn't interest me in the slightest I should have known I wouldnt like it but I was suckered in by all the hype/

I much rather preffered Mystic River to this, but the bad thing about Mystic River is the ending.
