Just watched I am Legend

I was disappointed in it. The filmmakers should have stuck with the book instead of straying from it.

What I liked about it:

1) Will Smith's performance was good. I can't complain about that.

2) The location: New York City. Unfortunately, we didn't really see much of it. NYC has tons of famous (and scary) locations but the filmmakers didn't take advantage of that opportunity.

What I hated about it:

1) The movie wasn't scary. With an empty city teeming with mutants that only come out at night, this movie SHOULD HAVE BEEN SCARY! But it wasn't. It was pretty dull actually.

2) The special effects depicting the mutants was awful. They looked like CGI especially when they were running and jumping around.

I was really enjoying it... then the woman and kid popped up out of nowhere to save the day. It went downhill from there :( Like Inky Binky, I can't fault Will Smith's performance, but the rest of the film couldn't live up to it.

It started well but ended up rubbish and a horrible 'happy' ending, would have been good if they went with the actual book ending, and got rid of the horrendous CGI for the 'creatures', and some more stuff...

I agree with most posters, it started off well, then sort of went downhill, then the ending was pants. I was just thinking, this must be a long film, because there must be so much more to go, then it just all finished in about 30 seconRAB, I was pretty peeved, could have been so much better

I was disappointed actually. It was a mix of 28 Days Later and Twelve Monkeys, but it never delivered for me.The scenes with the mannequins were totally bizarre.

Well before the end of the film,I cared more about the dog than the Will Smith character.

I hated it.

It wasn't scary and it was entertaining. It was slow, boring and then rushed.

The only good performance was from that dog - and after he/she died, I totally lost interest and just wanted Will (the character) to shoot himself in the head.

Here my amateur-ish reiview.

What do you think?

Great movie up until he meets the woman and her son. It's hard to end these types of things, but here it lost its brilliance. Still really good though and I give it 4 stars.

I watched this on sky movies HD And it was brilliant, it had me on the edge of my seat and when will's character lost his dog and died that was heartbreaking. :(

got it on dvd ...good film.
But the omega man for me as it was a favourite film as a kid, and i saw it as a double bill with jaws in the 70's ...So always been a fav off mine.
