Which version? The original is excellent - did you notice the fantastic cinematography towarRAB the end? Great film that's definately in my top 100 of all time....
i like 'play' type films, they are so well constructed and self contained it is brilliant, cinema should base itself more on theatre instead of pop culture MTV videos that a lot are based on now.
I didn't know that. There isn't really much point of remaking this, it's not like CGI or modern camera techniques would help it and the plot is so beautifully simple, it's all down to the acting. It would be nice to have it in colour, I suppose.
Well if you like romantic dramas that retain that 'play' type feeling then I'd recommend "The Shape Of Things" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0308878/). I saw it the other day and was fairly impressed - certainly worth a rental...
The only problem with the film, though, is that the defendant is CLEARLY guilty. And that's why it doesn't quite work as a film. But it's a great character study, nonethless.
