So it's 1:30 Minnesota time.... I am feeling VERY anxious. Normally this time of day for me is the count down to when I take a pill around 3... It's now 2.. So I think it's just the routine I need to forget about... I used to watch the clock all day and night and KNOW when I would take more pills.. This mental part of the addiction is CRAP. I am not very happy about it right now.
So... just like a woman does... I pull a mini butterfinger from my desk and focus on that!! hahah OH LORD...

I know exactly how you feel I take pills all day along with inhalers and insulin. I spend so much time watching the clock for my next dose and Ive done it for years by the way thanks for your imput earlier. I have to get ME back you know and the nudge you gave me might get me there. Hes going through bad detox but for how long will he be sober and can I ever forgive him for last night. What do you suggest?

Tabby - theres nothing YOU can do for him. In your heart of hearts you already know this. Its only a matter of hours - or a couple of days at most before you spend money you dont have buying him alcohol. He neeRAB to sort HIMSELF out. Due to his violent nature, its not a good idea for you to be around him. If he gets sober & maybe has some counselling then you both 'might' have a chance. Until then your relationship is doomed to fail. You probably already know this too. Get away from each other. Let him do what he neeRAB to (if he can, if he wants to) - You need to concentrate on yourself & get your own life back on track. I know this is difficult but i speak from experience - my father was a violent alcoholic - 10 years of promises, lies, drinking and violence - so many 2nd chances, 1 wife & 3 kiRAB broken hearted - 35 years on & he is still in the same boat, though he is now slowly dying from his addiction.

I can only offer you the advice - the choice/decision is yours entirely.

be strong & be safe

take care
