Ok, seriously, this has to be one of the dumbest things ever. Not even a Democrat can be this stupid ... well, apparently, they are.

I mean even if the cops are now cleared, the stupid Mayor has now opened the door for anyone to say "See, they are protecting corrupt police!"

How exactly is this stupid? Not wanting a fucking television crew on a raid seems pretty understandable to me. Raids should be filmed, but by one of the officers
 
If anything the cops would be on their best behavior with cameras around.

Plus I love cop shows. The idiots that actually sign the release form after being filmed doing to stupidest shit is
 
Let me answer your question with another "Conspiracy theory" ... "Oh sure, stop the independent monitoring of your corrupt government system right after police shoot a 7 year old girl in a botched raid, after the previous Mayor was kicked out of office and is going to jail now. Yeah, let's have the police shoot their own video and show how they aren't doing anything wrong."


I'm not saying that the police are going to do anything wrong, or hide evidence of their abuse, but that will be the cry from people who ALREADY don't trust cops if you have the police police themselves.
 
Why should the media help police with things like "Amber Alerts" or do anything for police? Life is a two way street.
 
The media shouldn't be running around during police raids.

Why not just send them overseas with the CIA to monitor them too.....
 
Because the CIA doesn't ask for the medias help and thus the media knows they aren't going to get something they need in return.

Not so with Police.

If they were going to ban the camera crews, they should have waited a while, or shot a cameraman. Doing it right after one of their boys plugs an innocent kid is just waaaaay too obvious.
