Alright, i just transplanted a new engine (same one as before) into my 749d ducati, which was loads of fun, but there were some hiccups! I got everything together, I poured enough oil to fill half the gauge in the glass dial.... and it started it with no problem!!! Oh my goodness, tiss the season. Okay great, so then i went and I pulled out the clutch and replaced it, and took off the Slave cylinder (or maybe it's the master, it's the one near the front sprocket). I put everything back together, then i try to start the engine, and i notice 2 things.
1) The neutral light goes off after i start the engine?
2) The oil light came on and stayed on when running. I checked the gauge, and it was empty. I filled her back up to half, started the engine, and the oil light was still on. Faulty oil pump? I'm weary of jackign around with it, as i don't want a seized engine. The oil gauge is still at half. I don't htink anything is leaking.
I don't THINK the sensors are bad, but i can't think of anything else. Any insight fellas?
