Just started listening to Opeth, and....

They are fucking brilliant! Seriously, where the hell have I been all this time?!?!?!

To all the Opeth lovers on this site, I say, "I should've listened to you a loooong time ago..."

you need to check out their dvd. everytime i listen to an opeth album or watch the dvd it makes me want to throw my guitar away. they are brilliant musicians.
 
I like Opeth but really only for the acoustic guitar and clean vocals. Damnation >*

Drapery Falls and Harvest are amazing tracks off of BP and Fair Judgement off of Deliverance is good.
 
been listening to them for over 3 years now and have yet to make it to a concert


hopefully this summer though i'll finally get the chance to fulfil my dream
 
All of their albums are experiences. They compose great tracks and breath-taking albums. The elegance of their time shifts and incorporation of melody with such intesity is just mystifying. Definately one of the best banRAB I've ever had the pleasure of listening to.
 
A lot of the albums have tracks where he just sings and doesn't scream. 'Harvest' off of Blackwater Park, Face of Melinda, A Fair Judgment, etc...

I've found though, that you need both the screaming and singing in order to get the full experience out of the music. It really paints the whole picture for me.
