Hello,
In 1995 or 1996, I bought my first 916. It was a dream come true and had different models 9xx up to the 998S Final Edition.
I took this bike to replace my 998 as I couldn't get used to the 999. I thought better buy this one before they do something more ugly (sorry, just a personal opinion).
Then, the 1098 came in and again, I wanted it just like you want an ice scream when you spent a day under the sun.
So I bought the 1098S thinking I might continue to drive the two bikes from one day to another.
However, after 12 months, I realized this wasn't that nice as those two bikes are quiet different to drive (brakes!) and couldn't make my mind on which one to take when I wanted to do a ride (I know, life is complicated).
So, I finally decided to sell my 998S Final Edition and honestly, I felt a bit sad while the buyer was putting it in its truck.
But no fear, the 1098S is not alone... some horses are beside her:
Let's see if the 1198S comes out in 2009 or 2010...
